Athlete Intelligence™ is pleased to announce it has added Bothell Cougar Junior Football to its growing list of youth sport programs. The new partnership will provide the Cougars with advanced intelligence and insights into player performance and safety during practices and games.
The Athlete Intelligence platform and the wearable Cue Sport Sensor™ will be used by the Cougars’ coaching and training staff to collect, analyze and offer actionable insights called “coachable moments” to improve the team’s performance and reduce the risk of head impact injuries. Not only will coaching and training staff be able to receive real-time head impact data to assess potentially dangerous hits but also understand when players are using improper techniques or have been overworked resulting in poor performance and increased injury risks.
“I’m most excited about the opportunity to provide our coaches with a tool that will help teach players those ‘coachable moments’,” said Cougars’ President Marlee Johnston. “Not only will this help coaches, but help players be more successful and safer out on the field and help comfort parents by knowing we care about their children’s safety.”
Patrick LeDoux the System Director for the Cougars said, “Bothell Cougar Junior Football wants to be on the cutting-edge of technology and best practices to maintain an elite youth football program.”
“We are excited to be working with the Bothell Cougars to help them gain more value from player performance data,” said Athlete Intelligence Sales Director, Andrew Golden. “Consistent access to easy-to-use, meaningful data will help the Cougars gain a competitive advantage and maintain a strong responsibility for player safety.”
